Our Constitutional Republic still Stands

Howdy, y’all; it is the day after November 8th, and guess what? The world did not come to an end. Furthermore, we did not experience the end of democracy. First, let’s have a short little lesson in civics, America is not a democracy. America is a constitutional Republic. We have a representative democracy to enable the people’s voices to be heard. Remember, this is the government of, by, and for the people. Our founding fathers established America as a constitutional Republic; matter of fact, Article IV, Section 4 of the constitution firmly states that the federal government is to guarantee to every State in the Union a “Republican form of government”…not party, but system of governance.
And so here we are, the day after and we were bombarded with the message that if one did not vote for the Democrat party, they were voting to end democracy. The real meaning behind those misleading, deceptive, and delusional assertions is that your vote meant the end to the progressive socialist ideological agenda for America. And that is a good thing.
I find it interesting that the folks who believe in and dedicate efforts to censor opposing thoughts, perspectives, and insights think that is fine for democracy. We know the current administration is working with private sector Big Tech companies to undermine free speech… not to mention that supposed Office of Disinformation in the Department of Homeland Security. Also, we know that one group of folks wanted to abolish the filibuster rule in the US Senate; remember, the threshold to pass legislation in the upper chamber is 60 votes, not a simple majority. The rule exists to protect the rights of the minority party in the Senate and to be a bulwark against radical ideological agendas. The US House of Representatives is where legislation is passed based upon a simple majority. So, would it not be considered a threat to “democracy” to destroy that rule?
Just the same, who are the folks who want to “pack the Supreme Court”? Having nine Supreme Court justices is just not satisfying to the progressive socialist left. They need to overwhelm the court to enact judicial activism to unconstitutionally implement the leftist agenda, which cannot be passed legislatively… and I go back to eliminating the filibuster. Oh, by the way, the longest-ever filibuster in US Senate history was Democrats doing so against the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which passed because of Senate Republicans led by Everett Dirksen.
Who are the folks that want to abolish the electoral college? These are the people who concocted the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact made up of the Blue States who have signed onto giving their electoral votes to the presidential candidate that wins the national popular vote… not the one who wins their respective State. Hmm, talk about an end to democracy.
Yesterday, America voted to restore and preserve our Constitutional Republic. This was not about the end of democracy; it was about the end of a deranged and dangerous ideological agenda that has wrought abject pain, hardship, and even death upon the American people. The sun rose today in America. And unlike the hyperbolic rhetoric of the left, we are not 1930s Germany, and suburban white women voters are not roaches.
I think it is very appropriate that Americans stepped up yesterday. Then again, Sir Winston Churchill once quipped, “you can trust Americans to do what is right after they have tried everything else.” Progressivism, socialism, statism, Marxism, and communism sucks! This was a great victory for the longest-running constitutional Republic that the world has ever known…and it is why the American Constitutional Rights Union exists.
And you know what, how awesome it is that we can now fully appreciate and honor Veterans Day! The day we set aside to remember those who took an oath to support and defend our Constitution and were willing to make the last full measure of devotion to honor that commitment.
Yesterday y’all proved that you don’t have to have served in uniform to support and defend our Constitutional Republic… you just have to be a true American patriot.
Steadfast and Loyal!
